The AI Bubble is Popping… Or Is It?
Everyone says AI is crashing. Here's what's actually happening. The "AI bubble burst" headlines are everywhere. But I've spent 30 years building data centers, and right now I'm developing gigawatt AI infrastructure across the US.
When critics say these projects are vaporware, I see the same data they do, but I just interpret it differently.
Here's what they're missing:
- Delay is not cancellation
- Hyperscale is not the whole market
- Grid-tied is not the only option
- Startup revenue is not total demand
The build isn't stopping; it's fragmenting into smaller, distributed, sovereign infrastructure closer to the demand. Defense, energy, and national security aren’t waiting on venture capital. That demand is mandated. The asset is the infrastructure, not the contract. Companies fail. Contracts break. Buildings, power systems, and GPUs don’t disappear; they get repriced, redeployed, and put back to work.
